| Some might
class the Ducie Bridge as off the beaten track as its away from the city
centre but that is not really the case if you work in the CIS office block.
It's literally a stones throw away. The comment 'Hey, I can see the pub
from here' comes to mind. The Ducie Bridge is also convenient if you have
just missed the train at Victoria. There are frequent concerts at the MEN
arena or the Manchester Storm play ice hockey. If driving you can park at
Red Bank have a couple in the Ducie Bridge then go off to the concert. I have been told that Les Dawson used to visit the Ducie Bridge before he became famous. This was recalled by someone who was just sixteen at the time. He used to go in with some others on a Friday afternoon while wacking off from school. |
