It's on the corner Great Bridgewater and Albion street near to the back of the G.Mex Centre. It looks like a Tetley pub.

At first we thought the pub was closed. We walked past and then decided to walk back and try the door! It was open. The doors take you straight into the bar rather than having a small entrance way. So, if you are planning a visit, make sure you try the door!
At the front is a long thin bar with a tiled floor. The benches by the window are rather thin and not the most comfortable seats to sit on. In the back are a couple of other rooms with much better seating. The predominant colours around the main bar were red and brown. In the passage way leading to the back the walls were tiled and panelled and contained old pictures. The toilets must be commented on as well. They were in keeping with the rest of the pub. Tiled walls and old Victorian type urinals. The copper and brass piping was polished and spotless.

They do food, which is a slight understatement. On the day we visited, amongst other things, there was Tatton Park Venison for £4.75 on the menu and also Wild Boar & Pheasant Pie.

And finally to the beer. They have a number of hand pumped beers. Obviously Tetley, as we expected, but also a number of others namely Robinsons, Jennings and Maidens Legover. There is also Guinness, XXXX and Lowenbrau. Also on the bar is a collection of many whiskies and bourbons.

On the bar they have a jar to leave your business card for a weekly draw. They also have hot nuts!
We also liked the Sailors Hornpipe that came from someone's mobile phone behind the bar.

The staff were helpful opening the side doors to allow someone with a wheel chair to get in.
