Location: The Walkabout Bar is on Quay Street just over the road from the Opera House. |
We
nearly didn't even get to visit the Walkabout. A couple of the members of
the team refused to step foot through the door! Following swift negotiations
we finally got inside. The first opinion was 'Orange'. Both the floor and ceiling were painted orange. The ceiling was quite low with the ventilation ducting being visible. There was plenty of floor space with a TV screen filling one of the walls. |
Upstairs above the bar is the Walkabout Inn. Useful if you have a few too many and cannot find your way out to a taxi. |

Other drinks available were John Smiths Smooth, XXXX and Stella. No hand pumped beer. We should have listened and gone walkabout elsewhere. Perhaps they should use a supplier from this country rather than one in Australia. The beer might beer a more reasonable price then! Not everyone disliked the Walkabout. One comment about the place was. Walkabout (Deb's favourite place "in the whole world" and the bonus of 2 for 1 drinks) Perhaps we may have had a different view if we had visited when the 2 for 1 drinks offer was on. We thought the music that was playing was okay. American Pie and Hotel California. Our final score was |
