Location: Its on Half Moon street round the back of Cross street near the Alliance and Leicester.

Corbieres must be our most hidden pub, so far. The picture shows the entrance via a narrow flight of stairs.

Corbieres

You can't judge a book by it's cover. But, the barrels do tell a story. Our visit started as a quick dinnertime pint at half past twelve, but ended up a little bit longer than that. The sign says 'Good food, fine wine.' 'Probably the best juke box in the world' NME. 'Always a pleasure'
The food was good but we can't give an opinion on the wine. We were too busy drinking the draught Pedigree bitter. One of our favourite pints. Like NME we also like the juke box.
We enjoyed our visit, and clambered back up the steps into the daylight at a quarter past three.

Down the stairs

This is a great view looking down the stairs!

Dave pulling a pint of Pedigree

This is Dave pulling us a pint of Marstons Pedigree. Tetley bitter is also sold but that hasn't been tried.Guiness, Carlsberg, Carlsberg Export, Strongbow and the tall one on the left are also sold but we never get further than the Pedigree.
There is also a selection of coffees available.

The toilet cystern!

Elmer by David McKee
From the book 'Elmer' by David McKee
Please take it easy when entering the toilets. They are rather brightly decorated. Not unlike 'Elmer' in the books by David McKee. Perhaps that is where the inspiration came from. Only the cystern is shown but the whole of the room is decorated in this fashion.

If you look to the left side of the bar there is also a patch of wall decorated the same way.
